Why Are Retreats So Good For Our Health?

Updated: Aug 19, 2021

Mindfulness and wellbeing retreats are a fantastic way to escape the stresses of everyday life With de-stressing methods such as meditation, mindfulness, yoga, EFT, reiki, massage, detoxing and spa treatments, they enable you to return to your life feeling refreshed, energised, healthier and with a new mindset.

Retreats are usually located in nature and we all know the positive impact that nature has on our physical and emotional state: The connection to the earth, the quality of oxygen that we breathe and the disconnection from mainstream living.

Breath In through your nose whilst watching this video, slowly breathe in for the count of 4. Imagine you are enjoying a beautiful smell and you allow your belly to rise and slowly release through the nose for the count of 4. Allowing your belly to deflate, repeat until the end of the video. Give your self a little charge.

Helps you break old habits

All retreats take you out of your normal, daily environment, which allows the change process to be more successful. We are often told that if we want to create new, positive habits, then starting them whilst on holiday will allow you to form them more easily.

As you learn new skills you can replace old habits with new ones; like meditation, movement, breathe work, emotional freedom technique and many more.

Encourages you to be more creative and positive in your life

On a mindfulness and wellbeing retreat you are encouraged to take some time by yourself to reflect and to gather your thoughts. You will find that when your mind is relaxed you are able to be at your most creative. You create space which allows for the creative ideas and solutions to appear: A light bulb moment, or an AHA! The natural surroundings will help take your mind away from any negative energy that might be in your

life, giving you the chance to release all the negativity and focus on more positive thoughts instead by looking after your mind, body and soul. Nature has a great way to raise your vibrations.

"Sometimes we need to disconnect to reconnect."

In these modern times, we’re so absorbed with the fast pace of the today's ever growing technology. We sometimes find ourselves struggling to maintain a healthy work life balance. We often find we are replying to emails or calling clients out of hours. On our mindfulness retreats you are in new surroundings where nature helps you to relax your mind and body, which encourages restoration and relaxation. We emphasise you to not use technological devises such as mobile phones or tablets.

Social media companies, pharmaceutical and drug dealers are the only companies that call the clients "users".

Anyone can go on a retreat

Everyone can take part in a mindfulness and wellbeing retreats, and tailor it to suit their own needs. Whether you are stressed from work, home, suffer from lack of confidence and self worth, not sure what they want from life, or someone who wants to lo

se weight or simply wants be healthy. Retreats give the opportunity to allow new, positive change.

Community Matters
